Re: Mark Tomasik: Don’t discount Gore-led ticket
Wed, March 26, 2008 - 5:30 AM.........while Gore seems to be distrusted by some Union members and disdained by radicals, he would fall neatly into that demographic of "likely voters". Curious how the recent days' Hillary flap(s) would influence this; many don't realize how unhappy hill and Al were in the House....association of the two would not be easy to separate...especially among Bill-haters the Demos want to court...

Re: Mark Tomasik: Don’t discount Gore-led ticket
Wed, March 26, 2008 - 8:34 AMAs much as I love Gore and would love to see him in the White House, this is not the way he should get there. If it gets to the point where there needs to be a third candidate, the party will be incredibly fractured with little time to heal. On top of that, Gore would have zero fundraising going into the general election.
Then again, if it was Gore/Obama, then there's the possibility of Gore using Obama's funds.
Hmmmmm.... Gore/Obama might work. -

Sun, March 30, 2008 - 3:03 AMYou're right. I'm sure plenty of people have told her ... begged her, probably. She just won't accept it.
Question is: Is she willing to risk a McCain victory in her quest for power? -

Re: Mark Tomasik: Don’t discount Gore-led ticket
Sun, March 30, 2008 - 7:38 AMI feel an offer post-convention to be placed in a position to put down those non-DLC usurpers would be her bait. I believe she has a bit of ...er...rich people's charity in her heart for the uninsured. Do not confuse that with love of country; she is more Trump than Thomas Jefferson.

Obama wants Gore on his team
politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/200...eam/
(CNN) — Al Gore has a spot in a potential Barack Obama administration, the Illinois senator said Wednesday.
Asked at a campaign event if he'd consider Gore for his cabinet, Obama immediately said he would.
" I will make a commitment that Al Gore will be at the table and play a central part in us figuring out how we solve this [climate change] problem," Obama said.
Obama also said he talks with the former vice president on a "regular basis," and often consults with him on climate change issues.
Could Gore serve alongside Bill Clinton in an Obama administration? Last November, the Illinois senator said he'd offer the former president a job "in a second."
"There are few more talented people [than Clinton]," Obama said then. -

Wed, April 2, 2008 - 10:30 PMGore has said many times that he wouldn't take a cabinet position. He's only interested in president. -

Thu, April 3, 2008 - 3:27 AMAfter watching these bits from a 60 Minutes interview Gore did. I don't think he'll be jumping in the presidential race. What do you think?

Thu, April 3, 2008 - 12:41 PMif both of those positions are still true, then maybe he's trying to stay out of the white house except as a guest.
